Does “personal use” also apply to friends and colleagues?

No. Personal use applies exclusively to:

• Owners
• Spouses or life partners
• Parents
• Descendants with spouses or life partners and children (as before)

Guests of persons entitled to owner occupancy do not pay any compensation fee during either the high season or the low season, provided that at least one person entitled to owner occupancy is also using the apartment during that period. Other family members who do not fall within the above-mentioned categories are required to pay a compensation fee, regardless of the season, at the same rate as conventional hotel guests.
